An ergonomic office chair from just 32p a week*
How much is your company willing to spend to look after your back? 32p a week may seem to good to be true, but that's all it will cost if you purchase a good quality, ergonomic chair from DCS with a 5 year guarantee.
Here's how it works:
*If you consider our ergonomic chairs have a 5 year guarantee and prices start at £82 (exc. VAT), the price of the chair over the lifetime of the guarantee equates to just 32p per week. And if you want the absolute top of the range model with all the extras - lumbar support, chrome base, height adjustable arms, etc. - it still only equates to £1.03 per week. Not a bad price to pay for comfort and support, is it?

The office chair experts
Back pain is a major cause of sickness absence from work. Nationally it is estimated that there are around half a million people with some form of back complaint caused by work - the average small firm is said to be losing 22 days of work a year from back strain. DCS believes it is important to ask for advice when choosing your chair, rather than blindly picking one out of the catalogue. How can you tell that it's the right chair for you just from a catalogue picture and description?
We offer a free consultation service and in most cases would be able to offer a demonstration chair to try - ask to speak to your DCS Account Manager or contact us using the General Enquiry form.

Ergonomics
To minimise back trouble and Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), it is vital to source a suitable, adjustable office chair, and there are a number of elements to consider. You need to make sure:
- The chair seat back is adjustable.
- You have good lumbar support.
- You have seat height adjustability.
- There is no excess pressure on underside of thighs and backs of knees.
- You have foot support if needed.
- There is space for postural change, and no obstacles are under the desk.
- Your forearms are approximately horizontal.
