Our Service - the Facts

What to expect as a customer of DCS - a summary:

  • and much, much more (we've been trading since 1973 and show no signs of stopping!)

Customer Service

We take significant pride in the levels of customer service we offer and are well known for our helpful, friendly team and reliable delivery service. We do not use an automated phone service; you will get straight through to a real person who will be able to deal with your query or put you through to someone who can. DCS has its own fleet of delivery vans and it is our policy to make desktop deliveries, not just to your reception or front door.

In our 2008 customer satisfaction survey, 99.4% of customers agreed or strongly agreed that the overall level of service that DCS provides is always very good.

Returns

Returns are free and will be collected by our DCS drivers. All goods (with the exception of special order items and food) can be returned to us in an unopened, unused condition within 14 days. However, we always try to make exceptions so give us a ring and we’ll see what we can do. If possible, please have your delivery note to hand when calling to arrange a collection.

And if for some reason your delivery was short, incorrect or damaged, please notify us as soon as possible - within 48 hours of receipt of delivery - so that we can sort it out straight away for you. As we are always striving to improve our customer service we do everything we can to avoid errors, but occasionally it does happen and with your help we can learn from our mistakes!

Products

In order to keep our prices as reasonable as possible, sometimes we have to change products to an equivalent or higher quality. If you are not happy with the goods you receive, call us and we will source you something you prefer. Please note that as an independent company, we are able to source products outside of the DCS catalogue; therefore, if you have any special requirements, please contact us and we will do our best to source it for you.

Recycling Collection Service

We will collect the following from our customers free of charge:

  • Packaging received with a DCS delivery
  • Shredded paper (in clear bags)
  • Empty/used ink and toner cartridges

Either let us know at the time of ordering that you have items for recycling or simply pass them to the DCS driver. In order not to increase our carbon footprint, we will collect items when we are already making a delivery to your company. All items are taken to the appropriate recycling centres.

For your convenience, you can download a Recycling Request form which can be faxed or emailed (which is preferable as it saves paper of course!).
